Frequently Asked Questions

Rehabilitation

What is the rehabilitation department?

Our rehabilitation department offers wheelchairs, walking aids and general aids that can improve your activities in everyday life.

What do I have to do to obtain a wheelchair?

Your general practitioner is your first point of contact. He is authorised to write you a prescription or to refer you to other necessary authorities. You can contact us with this prescription. Our rehabilitation department will then be at your service with the necessary knowledge and expertise. Together with you we look for the best possible wheelchair for your needs and wishes. After the choice, we will send your file to your health insurance company. The VSB then has 4 to 6 weeks to process your file.

How does the wheelchair refund work?

The VSB uses an exhaustive list containing all possible resources that are eligible for a refund. If we receive approval from the VSB, this means that your file has been accepted. The VSB pays the costs of the wheelchair and you only pay the supplements (if ordered).

Are stools reimbursed by the health insurance fund?

No, there is currently no possibility to obtain intervention from the health insurance fund.
